Visit our preschool on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, and you will be ushered into a beautiful, homey environment where four and five-year-olds are eagerly learning through play. Their newly renovated space allows children to spend time in various areas with the aim of developing cooperation, communication, and exploration. Because we believe that imagination, fine and gross motor play, and loving interaction build a crucial foundation for all future learning, we don’t rush children into desk and pencil activities but allow them to delight in age-appropriate learning setting them on an early path toward training their affections and cultivating wonder while preparing them for the transition to kindergarten.
Our daily routines include such things as reading aloud together, perusing books, singing, memorizing poems, reading Bible stories, counting and sorting, putting puzzles together, playing board games, baking, and playing outdoors. Our preschool students also enjoy dedicated music and physical education time taught by our grammar school faculty.
Our preschool teacher/student ratio is 2:8 with an attending aid to assist both teachers. Preschool hours coincide with the grammar school. We begin our day at 8:00 am and end at 3:25 pm. Those interested in enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year must be fully potty-trained and turn three before August 1st of the enrollment year.
