Visit our Pre-K on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, and you will be ushered into a beautiful, homey environment where four and five-year-olds are eagerly learning and playing together. The welcoming space allows children to spend time in a home-like area designed to help foster learning, train good habits, and aid in developing cooperation, communication, and exploration. We are eager to fill these early years of development with imagination, fine and gross motor activities, and loving interaction in order to build a foundation for all future learning. We don’t rush children into desks and worksheets but offer instead delightful age-appropriate learning, training their affections and cultivating wonder while preparing them for kindergarten.
Our daily routines include such things as reading aloud together and perusing books alone, singing, memorizing poems, reading Bible stories, counting and sorting, putting puzzles together, learning letters and their sounds, writing names, and playing outdoors. Our students also enjoy dedicated music and physical education time.
Our student to teacher ratio is 12:1 with an attending aide. School days coincide with the grammar school on M/W/F. Children who are fully potty trained and turn four years old prior to August first are eligible for Pre-K.
