Christian
“Christian” is more than a common catchphrase here. We use this word to describe a core ideology around which everything we teach revolves. It extends outside the structure of the classroom setting and gently encourages character development that is Christ-centered. So, while you are training your child up in the fear and admonition of the LORD at home, we are pointing them to Christ at school as well.
Classical
Classical is both a method and an ideology. To teach from a classical perspective goes hand-in-hand with our Christian, collaborative approach. Our education is rigorous, but it leads our students to delight – delight in learning, as they wrestle with Great Ideas and questions like, “What does it mean to be a good man?” Classical education encourages an understanding through inquiry rather than a mere acceptance of facts.
Collaborative
While collaborative is a method of teaching, it assumes that students benefit from active parent participation as well as classroom instruction. An understanding and appreciation of the collaborative model is key to your child’s success at Faith Christian Academy. You are your child’s teacher at home. Tuesdays and Thursdays are actual school days. You have the benefit of working one-on-one with your child on these days under the guidance of an expert in their field who is interacting with your child on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Accredited
Faith Christian Academy received full accreditation from the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) in 2018 as the first Christian, classical, collaborative school in the country. The ACCS is the largest advocacy group for classical Christian schools in the world.
